Belgium (Badminton Europe, Sept 23,2017): The circuit moves to Bierun this week for the annual Polish International. Fresh off his run to the semi final in Belgium last week Irish youngster Nhat Nguyen will be keen to continue his development on the senior circuit and continue from where he left off in Leuven.
The 17-year-old European U17 champion will travel to Poland as one of the European hopes in the men’s singles draw. In a draw that is top heavy with talent Nguyen finds himself in the same half as top seeded Malaysian Iskandar Zulkarnain and to add to the task Nguyen has a first round tie against Indian Harsheel Dani, the player he beat in the quarter final in Belgium just a few days ago.
Certainly a big task for the young Irish talent after his exploits last week but one that is well within his capabilities. It’s the Asians who are sure to be feeling just a little anxious after getting a taste of Nguyen’s quality in Belgium and the Irish rising star will have learned a lot from his run to the semi final.
