Queensland, Australia (The Sun, August 14,2017): GP registrar and Sexological Bodywork expert Kim Nguyen, based in Coolangatta, Gold Coast, Queensland, aims to bring understanding of the challenges of sexuality and sexual relationships
Her intensive sessions usually last around an hour and a half – at a cost of around £1.20 ($2 AUD) per minute – and include hands on bodywork and talking to people about their secret erotic fantasies.
Before she observes her clients pleasuring themselves, she’ll have a casual chat with them first and ask whether they would like to keep their clothes on or go nude.
Speaking about her private practice, which she calls the safe zone, she said: “It’s a space for people to openly explore their eroticism.
“We live in a hyper-sexualised but sexually repressed society at the same time. My role is to create an open and supportive space for clients to be curious and learn about their body and arousal.”
While you’d be forgiven for thinking the sexual issues Nguyen sees are trauma induced, they’re actually common and relatable, from trouble orgasming to couples in long-term relationships “yearning for something more”.
The unusual therapy she uses to treat “any gender, sexual preference, culture or age” is relatively new, Nguyen admitted.
