Vietnamese Foodies Restaurant in Dubai

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (Caterer): : In four years, Vietnamese Foodies has grown massively. From one small outpost in JLT, the Vietnamese brand has increased four-fold with spaces in Nakheel Mall, Burj Vista and Time Out Market Dubai. While the home-grown brand continues to steamroll, founder and executive chef Lily Hoa Nguyen assures us she always puts people before profits.

She told Caterer Middle East: “we’re not just here to make a profit, we’re here to take care of employees as well, treating them as part of our extended family.”
Nguyen spoke to Caterer as Vietnamese Foodies reintroduces its Lunar New Year’s Eve tradition of giving all the day’s proceeds to staff. Running across all four branches on January 31, Nguyen said the initiative also falls in line with the brand’s commitment to showcasing Viet traditions.
Beyond the inviting atmosphere and financial support, Vietnamese Foodies also works to nurture talent and help the team grow.

Nguyen said: “We always want our team to grow within the business to reach their potential within their position. We always stretch our team. Once they master their position, we encourage them to learn more skills so that they can grow within our organization. We grow because our people grow. We have twice annually assessments and for the kitchen team, we organize tests every six months to see if the team is ready to move to a higher level. We are always looking at how we can develop our people as we know that for us to grow as a business, our team must grow.

“Currently all the management positions within the kitchen and service teams, have been promoted from within the business. We believe that nurturing this talent from within is crucial to our success.”
