Disbelief as woman who slurped 48 oysters on first date wonders what went wrong
Georgia, Atlanta (Daily Mail): A woman has gone viral after noisily slurping down 48 oysters at a Georgia restaurant while out on a first date.
The woman, who goes by the name EquanaB on TikTok, revealed in a video [warning: graphic language] that she met up with her date at Fontaine’s Oyster House in Atlanta. She proceeded to order four dozen oysters and noisily knocked them back during the dinner – that’s where it all started to go wrong.
While waiting for her date to come out of the bathroom, the woman was angered to learn that he had left the restaurant – in apparent disgust over her insatiable appetite for shellfish.
But while EquanaB was horrified by her date’s behavior, those watching her video on TikTok were quick to accuse her of being in the wrong.
One user wrote on TikTok: ‘Idk what’s worse, the 48 oysters as an APPETIZER or the insane slurping and smacking.’
At the start of her video, EquanaB explained that she had met her date a few weeks prior while out with friends and stated that the man ‘been texting her for weeks.’
‘I was bored and I had time, so he texts me like, “can we meet for drinks?”‘ she continued.
The woman first asked herself why she didn’t block her soon-to-be date, and then proceeded to walk into the restaurant.

She declared: ‘They got the best f****** oysters in Atlanta.’
The oysters at Fontaine’s Oyster House start out at $15 a dozen every Tuesday, which is when the pair agreed to meet up for drinks.
The majority of the video shows the women slurping the oysters after adding lemon and tabasco.
She does not show him on camera. She admits that her date gave strange looks, but that she ‘didn’t give a f***.’
‘I was like, “Baby, you invited me out – I’m going to eat,”‘ she stated.
Once she finished the 48 oysters, the women ordered crab cakes and red-skinned potatoes, which she said were a ‘ten out of ten.’
Her date didn’t think so, and after telling the woman he was going to the bathroom, he left and never came back.
She said: ‘It’s been 10, 20, 30 minutes… Had to end up grabbing the tab… Left me with his one f****** drink.”
The man did end up texting her: ‘I offered to take you out for drinks and you ordered all that food – I can Cashapp the total for the drinks.’
