Asia 82: “Tình Khúc Phạm Đình Chương – Mộng Dưới Hoa”

Having just released their last DVD, Asia 81, “Gió Xuân – Springtime”, Trung Tâm Asia has already returned with the filming of Asia 82, “Tình Khúc Phạm Đình Chương – Mộng Dưới Hoa”. Filmed on April 28 at the Pechanga Casino & Resort, Asia 82 looks at the music, life and legacy of renowned Vietnamese songwriter Phạm Đình Chương. Many will recognize the songwriter as having written a number of timeless classics from before 1975, and now fans will be able to hear all of his greatest hits once again in one show!
Asia 82 was hosted by MCs Nam Lộc, Leyna Nguyễn, Diệu Hương, Châu Đình An, and Thùy Dương who showed her baby bump, as she is pregnant with her second child! The show, while only featuring 20 songs, was still full of great performances including a few group numbers. The show opened with a lively performance of “Sáng Rừng” by Cardin, Ngô Khải Anh, Cát Lynh and Ngọc Anh Vi. The group performances continued with “Được Mùa” featuring Dạ Hương, Hoàng Anh Thư, Khả Linh, Phương Trang, Huệ Thy and Bích Đào; and “Cho Thành Phố Mất Tên” performed by Anh Tuấn, Lê Quốc Tuấn, Triệu Khắc Vinh and Thế Sơn. Another special highlight from the show was a complete performance of “Hội Trùng Dương” featuring Bích Đào, Huệ Thy, and the return of Lê Uyên. Other notable performances included “Xóm Đêm” by Thanh Lan, “Đêm Nhớ Trăng Sài Gòn” by Lệ Thu, “Nửa Hồn Thương Đau” by Hồ Hoàng Yến, and the closing performance of “Tiếng Dân Chài” by Hoàng Quân.
Asia 82, “Tình Khúc Phạm Đình Chương – Mộng Dưới Hoa” will be released on DVD this summer.
