Crews searching for man missing near Shannon Falls
RCMP and Squamish Search and Rescue are asking the public for help in finding a man who went missing in Shannon Falls provincial park on Canada Day.
Alexander Nguyen, 20, was hiking and sightseeing with his parents near Shannon Falls on July 1, said RCMP.
His last cellphone ping was at 3:30 p.m. that afternoon on the Sea to Summit trail, past where it connects with upper Shannon Falls.

“Squamish RCMP is working with Squamish Search and Rescue and are combing the area,” said RCMP in a news release on Wednesday.
“Although we are not requesting assistance with the ground search, any hikers in the area should be aware of his photo and description.”
Nguyen is described as 5-foot-8, 121 pounds, with long black hair in a bun. He was last seen wearing grey shorts, a tank top, flip flops and a cross-body bag.
