Sydney doctor found guilty of sexually assaulting sleeping patients
Sydney, Australia (ABC.Net-au): A doctor who claimed to perform “alternative treatment” with his genitals on sleeping patients at a Sydney clinic has been found guilty of numerous sexual assault offences.
He pleaded not guilty to all 25 offences he was charged with, the majority of which were related to aggravated indecent assault.
Khorami’s denials came despite being recorded on CCTV with his penis exposed next to some of the sleeping victims and appearing to masturbate.
When the GP gave evidence, he told the jury he was performing an alternative tantric treatment using his genitals on two of the patients.
The Iranian-born and trained doctor insisted he had their consent and they were not asleep, but simply closing their eyes at his instruction.

The jury took just over two days to find Khorami guilty of 22 of his charges and not guilty of the remaining three.
The result included a guilty verdict to a charge of drugging one of the complainants by spiking her fruit juice with Temazepam, a medicine used to treat insomnia.
The woman made a complaint after she felt abnormally tired the day after her overnight stay at the clinic and traces of the drug showed up in a urine test.
During his evidence, Khorami claimed the patient told him in confidence she took an unknown medication to relieve stress.
