Dr. Kara Nguyen, named Medical Director of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at UPMC Pinnacle

Nguyen, M.D., M.P.H has been named Medical Director of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) at UPMC Pinnacle, a top-rated healthcare system in Central Pennsylvania, of which SGF is a providing partner. In this role, Dr. Nguyen will provide clinical leadership, oversee quality assurance, foster academic growth, and support efforts to maintain Center of Excellence status in REI.

Dr. Kara Nguyen is one of only a few physicians in the nation who is triple board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, reproductive endocrinology and infertility, and medical genetics. She earned her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College and her Master’s in Public Health from John Hopkins University. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Christiana Care Hospital in Delaware and her subspecialty training in medical genetics at the National Institutes of Health.
