One killed, several injured in knife attack in central Paris
PARIS, France (AFP): — One person was killed and several injured Saturday night in central Paris by a man armed with a knife, security sources said. The attacker was shot and killed by police.

The attack took place near the city’s main opera house, in the 2nd arrondissement. Police indicated that the motive for the attack was not yet known but anti-terror units were at the scene, according to AFP.
French newspaper Le Figaro reported that at least eight people were injured in the attack, two of them seriously.
