GREENSBORO (News & Records, Sept 27,2017): — Police have charged a Greensboro man in the shooting deaths of two people earlier this month.
Chinh Tiet Nguyen of 2207 W. Florida St. in Greensboro is charged with two counts of first-degree murder, police said. Nguyen, 27, is being held without bail at the Guilford County jail.

Nguyen is accused of shooting Ricky Phayaxay and Kimberly Woods on Sept. 12 in a home at 2014 Cedar Fork Road, police said. He was arrested on a federal probation violation Sept. 13. after he cut off an electronic bracelet from a federal agency, police said. He had been considered a person of interest early in the investigation and was later developed as a suspect in the killings.
Police are unsure if he was wearing the electronic bracelet at the time of the shootings.
