Community Crime Awareness Day at Celebration Square

Mississauga: The annual Community Crime Awareness Day – A Celebration of Cultural Diversity was organized by the Peel Regional Police in partnership with Safe City Mississauga, the Mississauga News, and the Dufferin-Peel Catholic School Board.

It was an event combining information, entertainment and friendship that promoted a positive, safe and supportive environment for people who live and work in Mississauga. Since its inception 17 years ago, the event had grown bigger every year.

2018 Special Feature: Mississauga Food Fair – vendors showcased Asian and local foods, souvenirs, music, performances and products. The event included a performance by the Royal Canadian Air Cadets, a repelling demonstration by the Peel Regional Police, face painting, inflatable games, wheel of fortune, lucky draws and more.

The event took place on Saturday, September 29, 2018 from 11:00am to 9:00pm. It featured over 60 booth displays courtesy of Peel Regional Police, Fire Department, St. John Ambulance, community organizations and business sponsors.
